In Allentown, nurseries are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Pennsylvania, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Check the listing for hours, seasonal closures and Google rating before you go.

Allentown is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Allentown follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Cool place with a ton of options and variety. Got a nice floating pond plant here but they have tons of other plants and flowers, plus pots, garden accents, and tons of others things for anyone who likes the plant/flower life. Well worth a visit if you've never been.

I don't think I have ever been to this location even though I am a native of the LV. Lots of options, love the variety of plants - bought a beautiful large fern and loved the potting shed option.

Our experience with Dan Schantz Greenhouse was okay. While the selection was decent, several of the marigolds we purchased didn’t do well after planting—despite being in the same garden bed (far side) where marigolds from Herbein’s are thriving (near side). The yarrow we picked up seemed a bit stressed at first but is starting to bounce back with some care. Overall, a decent experience.

Beautiful greenhouse! Such a wide variety of annuals and perennial plants. House plants, flowering plants and a great selection of holiday plants and items. I was impressed with the selection of bulbs and the amaryllis bulbs! The orchids were very beautiful. I found a great little fern for my desk. They have such a great selection of containers for your plants too! Also came home with three air plants! They have a beautiful selection of cut flowers and flower arrangements. While visiting several of the employees asked if I needed help...so very friendly!!! Great experience! Such fresh and beautifully designed flower arrangements...so hard to make a choice!!!....very talented people!
